Ideally located northwest of the thriving Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, the Northwest Metroport region is an excellent area to live, work and play. Surrounded by Dallas, Denton and Fort Worth, this region is comprised of the communities of Haslet, Justin, Northlake, Roanoke, Trophy Club and Westlake. Combined, these communities offer the best of suburban living with proximity to work and a multitude of recreational activities nearby.
Transportation access is excellent for both residents and businesses. With close proximity to major highways, residents can enjoy additional shopping, dining and recreational activities in Fort Worth and Dallas with only a 30 minute drive time. In addition, companies take advantage of the Alliance Global Logistics Hub with direct access to two main north-south rail lines, an intermodal yard, the world’s first 100% industrial airport, air cargo services and facilities, Interstate Highway 35W, Texas Highways 170 and 114, and a regional overnight sorting hub. The only foreign trade zone in North Texas with combined air, rail and highway transportation is located within the Alliance development. Finally, with DFW Airport located only 20 minutes away, the Northwest Metroport region can reach any major city within the U.S., Canada or Mexico within four hours.
Maintaining a small town atmosphere is no easy task for these six communities when Fortune 500 companies are located within them; nevertheless, they have managed to do just that. Haslet, Justin, Northlake, Roanoke, Trophy Club and Westlake are very distinct communities. However, as a coalition they are represented by the Chamber as a large region with a louder voice regarding economic development and transportation issues.
